Decluttering and Spring Cleaning can seem like such a huge task that we often procrastinate and fail to follow through. Set yourself up for success by doing 15 minute chunks followed by a 5 minute break. Don’t declutter for more than 4 hours at a time before taking a longer break.
It’s also important to give yourself enough time to get the job done, so if anything overestimate how long the job will take, before putting it into your diary. Give yourself at least two days to complete each room and only focus on one room at a time. Plan to do one day of decluttering over the weekend every two weeks. Take care to only clean once the decluttering and organising is complete.
