About Me & Message To Readers

After having had my breakdown in 2009 and receiving treatment which transformed my life, I left my victim mentality behind me and I embarked on an unexpected journey of self-discovery. After recovering from the breakdown, I continued improving my life by using psychology and started to create the life I longed for. So far it has been an incredible journey; profoundly rewarding and one which has taught me that – even in life’s tough seasons – we can still feel the warmth of the sun, and continue to learn and grow.

.

But, having personally experienced the transformative power of psychology in my life, I couldn’t help but feel sad that for so many, psychology was seen as inaccessible; a purely academic endeavor that had little relevance and even less impact upon people’s lives in the real world.

.

Realizing that there was a vast gap between how most psychology was expressed – often in overly complex language and in a very academic context – and how most people would identify with and effectively use psychology for their own personal transformation, I became determined to make psychology accessible, and thus Accessible Psychology came into being.

.

My wish is for this site to give you a practical understanding of everyday psychology in a way that is both accessible and easy to apply in your everyday lives. My aim is to provide you with a supportive framework for your own growth and for the articles to leave you feeling empowered, uplifted and motivated.

.

My journey is living testimony that no matter where you are in life, absolutely everyone can apply the basic principles of psychology in order to lead more fulfilling lives. Join me as I adventure into creating the life we long for. A life where we can successfully navigate the rough winds, using them to develop us into our full potential.

.

Wishing you all the joy, happiness and success the world has to offer,

.
