This blog is dedicated to both my parents and therapist who gave me the biggest gift imaginable, the gift of personal understanding and growth.
About Me and Message to Readers
In 2009 I was at an all time low. I was deeply unhappy in my marriage and very depressed. At my worst point I confided in my parents and they decided to pay for me to have treatment at arguably one of the best facilities in the world. During my time there I left my victim mentality behind me and I embarked on an unexpected journey of self-discovery. It was then that I began my life-long quest to gain greater psychological knowledge and understanding.
It is a journey that has given me many insights into human nature and one I have found profoundly rewarding. A journey that has taught me that even in life’s tough seasons we can still feel the warmth of the sun and continue to learn and grow. It is a journey that I have now chosen to share with you, my very own thoughts from the couch.
My wish is for this psychology blog to give you a practical understanding of everyday psychology in a way that is both accessible and easy to apply in your everyday lives. My aim is for this site to provide you with a supportive framework for your own growth and for my articles to leave you feeling empowered, uplifted and motivated.
My journey is living testimony that no matter where you are in life, absolutely everyone can apply the basic principles of psychology in order to lead more fulfilling lives. Join me as I adventure into creating the life we all long for. A life where we can successfully navigate the rough winds, using them to develop us into our full potential. Wishing you all the joy, laughter and happiness you deserve.
