Why knowing your deal breakers in advance is key

One of the most useful things eHarmony did for me was get me to think about what my deal breakers in relationships would be in advance. When you start to chat with a match you first ask three fun questions, then you send your makes or breaks and then three open ended ‘dig deeper’ questions before you email. Of course you can skip these steps but I loved them as it really showed me my compatibility with someone before chatting with them. In the makes or breaks section you select ten makes (or must haves) and ten breaks (or can’t stands).

These must haves and can’t stands are important to realize before you get involved with someone and can save much heartache down the line. For example, if you want to have children it’s important to know whether your new date shares that desire. Equally, if you can’t stand someone who never says sorry and has to be right all the time it might be worth asking ‘can you name a time when you were wrong and had to apologize’ to see if they have this quality.

Fun Date Ideas

There are so many options when it comes to dates nowadays, it’s true that the old movie and meal combo is an old classic but with new cinematic experiences throughout the country spicing up a first date couldn’t be easier! I’ve listed my most fun date ideas below, please let me know if you have any of your own to add.

Fun First Date Questions

The amount of fun first date questions you can find online is incredible, if not a little overwhelming, so I’ve listed the best for you below for when you do meet that special someone.

Top Tips for Meeting a Partner

Here are just some of my top tips for meeting a partner, all the way from the wonderful to the weird. Please note these tips are for building a genuine connection with someone in a meaningful way and do not point towards ways to simply ‘pick someone up’.

My therapist also said that she advised someone to join a club and shortly after she met someone and now they are happily married – so if that isn’t a good indication that special interest groups can be great places to meet people for those who are reluctant to do online dating I don’t know what is. Here are my top tips for meeting a partner, listed below…
