As we come to the close of our hot topic on decluttering some of you may be sceptical about the psychological benefits to living a life with less stuff and when I saw this Tedx talk on decluttering and living a minimalist life, I knew I just had to share it with you! The speakers in this talk, Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus, used to earn six figure incomes and have an abundance of ‘stuff’ and yet we learn in their talk of how they were living for their stuff, rather than having it work for them.
Their breakthrough came when they decided to donate and sell around 80% of their belongings, often luxury items they didn’t need that were causing them to feel burdened, and which they soon dubbed their clutter. Rather than reading about the talk I’ve decided to share it with you so you too can know the liberation that comes from decluttering your belongings, I encourage you to watch it and hear for yourself their powerful story!
Following using psychology to transform my life, I founded Accessible Psychology to help empower others to live the life they long for. My journey is living testimony that no matter where you are, absolutely everyone can apply psychology in order to lead more fulfilling lives.
Oh and I love Oprah, Marie Forleo, Tony Robbins and lovely people like you!
