Remember a time when, on reflection, you think you were arrogant. Did you have an inflated sense of your abilities, your social or economic position or even your position within your company? What was the difference in behavior when compared to a time you simply felt confident?
Did you exhibit any of the traits listed in Mondays post? What warning signs were there that you can look out for in future that you are veering away from confidence into arrogance? Write these reflections and discoveries down and keep them handy – just the act of reflecting on your behavior in this way will help you to have an increased awareness of arrogance and help you avoid it in future.
Did your answers surprise you? Do you feel more able to recognize when you might be being arrogant in future as a result of the exercise? Please share your thoughts in the comments below to gain encouragement, insight and support from our community, we’d love to hear from you.
