Making psychology accessible
I started Accessible Psychology PLLC to provide Rehabilitation Psychology outside of hospital walls. Psychology was lacking a space where people who have disabilities, medical diagnoses, chronic pain, and who are expecting to die can process their experiences and receive support. My mission is to provide competent and curated mental health services to all those who seek it out.
Psychology hasn’t always been accessible or friendly to people with disabilities. In fact, psychology has often been harmful to disabled, transgender, queer, low income people. Especially when those people are Black, Brown, immigrants, or follow religions that are different from founding psychologists. At Accessible Psychology, I prioritize your culture and identities to understand you and your world. Together, we explore how to rely on the strengths of your communities, the wisdom of your ancestors, and your unique perspective to build the life you want to live.
